Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure - Margie and the 2010 Sirens for the Cure team

2010 Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure: May 8, 2010

Hello Friends!

You may know that one in eight women will be stricken with breast cancer in her lifetime. What you may not know is that you can help these women and thousands of others in the fight against breast cancer. Imagine life without breast cancer!!

On May 8, 2010, in partnership with the AERO committee, Margie Wells will be participating in the Komen Sacramento Race for the Cure with a great team of dedicated people. We hope some of them will be you!

Margie always celebrates her birthday around the same time as the walk and this year her 4th year of remission! Luckily this year the Sirens schedule will allow her to participate in the walk. Come join the team!!

This year Margie also sadly marks the passing of a wonderful friend and previous Amdocs (CableData) employee Rhonda Nelson. She fought with bravery and beauty for 4 years, but lost her fight this past November. Margie walks in her memory and the memory of all those who lost their fight. She is committed to helping women avoid this journey if at all possible and this event is a huge part of that.

Join the fight by registering as part of her team and walking or running on May 8th. Join as a "Sleep in for the Cure" team member and you can still help raise much needed funds. Or show your support of their efforts with a contribution. The money raised through the Race will fund vital education, screening and treatment programs for underserved women in our own community and support the national search for a cure.

We need your support! Every step counts!!

For the Cure,
Margie and the 2010 Sirens for the Cure team
